Fine wine is an art. This is the inspiration behind RIPE, a wine show about art tasting, coming to Crewest.As an art gallery exhibition, RIPE will transform wine barrels, wine bottles and even wine corks into cutting-edge contemporary art created by some of today’s most exciting urban and graffiti artists.
These and other exciting contemporary artists will paint, draw and/or sculpt their unique creative vision onto used wine barrels, bottles and corks, transforming them into one-of-a-kind pieces of art available for purchase.

Quick review on this new photography gem. The guys at CustomSLR finally launched their new product, and I got mine in the mail a couple days ago. The C-Loop! A great product that repositions the strap mounts to the bottom of the camera, where the tripod mount is located. The smooth swivel feature helps keep the strap away from your hands while handling the camera. Great for on-the-go type shooting.

Back in July I bought a Groupon coupon for 16″x20″ gallery wrapped canvas print from Canvas on Demand. It was about to expire in Sept. so I created a digital art piece using an photo I took of Alina Rock, did some creative photoshoping and sent it out to get printed. This is what I received…
It came out pretty cool. Quality was good. Colors were close to what I had on screen.

Took another workshop for inspiration and motivation. Learned some cool techniques and got a chance to shoot two models. A full team of make-up, hair and wardrobe was very nice. Guest photographer, Catherine Asanov gave some great insight and information about photography and techniques. Here’s one shot taken during Mark Sacro’s Fashion Photography workshop.

Make me a Waborita! I never intended to collect alcohol bottles. But through the years, I’ve seen creative change in a few brands. I’ve been fortunate to hang on to some cool bottles. Here’s a look at the Cabo Wabo Tequila bottle design since the late 90s. From left to right: Early look around 1999-2001, 2002-2006, current bottle now, 2007-2009.
